This is the lowest baseweight I'd be willing to use in the Sierra with lows down to 40F. No bugs, familiar area, great conditions, bear locker available, moon light available, etc. I'd only bring a tarp if there is a chance of rain, which would double as a rain poncho. It would add 0.29 pounds.
