Packing list for a 7-day O-Circuit from Jan 12-18, 2026.

Notes:

  • I'm used to bigger days on rougher objectives (WRHR, Evolution Traverse, etc) so not particularly worried about weight. More just trying to make sure I'm not bringing anything that is completely useless, or forgetting to pack something that is useful!
  • Normally wouldn't bring full-weight pants, kindle, cards, etc but I'm expecting to hang out in camp more than I usually do due to the short distances each day, potential for bad weather, and social aspect of this particular trail.
  • Normally I'd leave the sat beacon at home for a trail like this that is so developed, but opting to bring it this time in light of the extreme weather/deaths that happened back in November.
  • Am I going to want a sit pad? How quickly does the ground dry out after rain down there?
