Year round list:

Notes

  • Stars:
    • Red: I don't carry them anymore
    • Yellow: I sometimes carry them
    • Green: I have yet to weight this
  • Items listed at full price, not counting discounts (e.g., the tent is running at 130$ off right now, as of 26/jun/24)

Temps:

I live in a tropical place, we got micro weather so there are places were it's always cold sub 40f(4.4c), but temps for most mountain places are around 77f (25c) to 65f (18c)

Animals:

we don't got bears, nor any poisonous creatures, just mosquitoes and flies, those can be annoying in hot places but nothing crazy

Low hanging fruits:

  • Cold soaking?
  • A new tent (I just got this one and I won't change it)

Extras

  • I love the chair, I take it for one day trips, when I use a daypack and I won't camp, but not always

Disclaimer

  • If it gets colder than 50 I might consider to bring my sleeping bag, but usually I just bring it if I'm expecting 40f and down
  • More often than not I carry 2.5-3L of water when I start
  • Price is per item, if something says 2 and the price is 10, the total is 20, 10 is the price per each one, unless otherwise specified
  • Phone set as 0$ because it doesn't matter, I'd buy it eve if I don't backpack
  • I set water to 0 because it makes me sad to see those 4.4lb in the calculation but I added it manually down bellow
