My summer list - Cooler pad with lighter quilt. Winter list - warmer pad with heavier bag. Always wearing swim shorts, sleeveless top, lone peaks, super-feet green. I have a set up for 3 seasons, not winter (Dec, Jan, Feb). Winter would be too heavy for me and not fun as gets dark early and too cold. - The weaker types of pepper spray like Halt and Dog Shield have proven to be plenty potent against black bears seeking food. These products are not EPA-approved for bears, but Ely researchers believe anything more potent is overkill in black bear country SEE bear.org
