green - free/cheap and ultra light => quite optimal yellow - not too cheap, not too light => but good value overall red - devours budget, but it's worth it this is, where your decissions have the most impact in terms of weight, budget and comfort.

approx = approximated value

price green (15 items) = 81€ yellow (7 items) = 287€ (160€ for tent) red (1 item) = 350€ (approx) total = 685€ most expensive = 510€ (quilt + tent) => price without these two = 203€ Tent could also be replaced with a tarp to save weight and money.

** This is an investment. You can go lighter with water purification tablets, but won't recommend it as they seem to be unhealthy and they are way more expensive in the long run.

*** This one is tricky. There are no leightweight rain trousers out there that are relatively cheap. You can go for a light wind pants like dance pants (approx weight 120-130g for 25-30€). Recommendation: go for decathlon here and take the high weight or pay 4 times the price for something that is 80g (f.e. omm halo pants).
