XC Ski + pulk over Hardangervidda, week+. Version 1.
Notes • Weight pulled is effectively about 5 times easier on flat surface, than if I carried it in a backpack.
• Active gear must be modified so it can be used with mittens on. Example. All zips require 9 cm/3 inches of cord with a knot at the end.
• Food, per day. Fuel est. for ~2-3 weeks. Post: The oat mix was quite calorically dense at first, but once the days dragged on it became a welcome sight. Due to the high amount of oil and butter, it didn't need much water. Could use better packaging, but was ok. Due to inadequate choices in active gear, unstable boiling platform, unskilled resting routines, I ended up falling short of daily calories, and often substituted with easy choices, chocolate and crackers. !!!!!
Trip report Monday 17 Jan. 2022 Started from Ustaoset 20:30. My bag was close to the limit of what I'll bring on trains/buss.
