Initial packing list for my Norge På Langs thru-ski attempt, winter 2023-24.

I am skiing with a backpack rather than a pulk, to ensure more efficient travel and adjustability to a wider variety of conditions.

The list is collected to match the worst conditions reasonably expected. Later in the season there will be room to leave out or to swap some items for lighter, less warm variants for example. The first quarter of my journey will be the most unfamiliar and challenging region for me, which is why I ended up bringing some reserve. As I am recording the journey in more detail, I have also included some more electronics to ensure a better journaling experience. In the rare, most extreme conditions at times when it cannot be avoided, I may rely on temporary solutions and skills.

This list is gathered to match my needs. Your needs may vary. The system I use I have trained rigorously with, so make sure you have prepared and planned your own kit in detail. No packing list will work one to one with someone else.
