Overview

List of all of the personal gear I'm bringing on a 31-day backpacking and packrafting trip in the Brooks Range of Alaska. I'm going with 3 other people, so some group gear will be distributed (tent, stove, fuel, pot, etc). I linked as much of the gear as possible, some are affiliate links. This is clearly not an ultralight set up, I'm calling it "lightweight with redundancy" which is my preferred method in such a remote area with no ability to acquire more or dry gear if needed. Enjoy!

Organization

  • 15L Side-entry Dry Bag: sleeping bag, liner, pillow
  • Zipza medium (green): notebook, pen, portable charger, cords, glasses + case, e reader
  • Zipza small (blue): toiletries
  • Lopsak (waterproof plastic bag): phone, LEVE wallet w/ cc, id, cash

Re-supply

The trip is broken down into 4 "loops" with 3 resupplies. The first 2 loops are only backpacking, so our packrafting gear will be dropped with our loop 3 food.

Loop 3

  • all items in "Packrafting" category
  • fresh socks
  • dry bag x2
