My gear list has evolved quite a bit since my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail (2019) as my base weight back then was 16 to 17 lbs, though given my February start I had extra clothing items for warmth. I had an aborted hike of the Colorado Trail in 2022 (nasty case of on trail COVID) but returned in 2023 to start over - completing it 51 days later. Am headed out in a couple of weeks for my 6th thru-hike of the Foothills Trail (at age 72).
