Area of Application: This list is thought for solo hiking trips in northern Europe like Ireland, Scotland, Norway and Sweden at elevations up to 800-1500 m and hikes in mountainious regions in middle and southern europe (like GR20 in Corse or the HRP in the Pyrenes). It should withstand the occasional inclement weather and higher wind speeds.

Shelter and Sleepsystem: The shelter has several added storm guyline points and will be pitched with an assortment of long, strong Easton Nano stakes at the crucial guy out points and lighter titanium shepard hooks at mid panel tieouts. The 32° quilt (0C comfort limit) has enough loft for freezing temperatures when combined with the Alpha, not uncommen in said regions even in summer. This stake and sleeping set up has already proven its flexibility on the Te Araroa in New Zealand and Kungsleden ind Sweden with night temperatures between -4 to 27°C (25-80° fahrenheit) and several nights wiht some strong wind gusts.

Clothing: The clothing system is made for active use and has proven to keep me warm enough on long hikes where the aim is to hike most of the day, even with morning temperatures below freezing (on the TA as well). As soon as I stop hiking I pitch the shelter and go into the quilt, if the temperatures force me to do. No puffy needed.
