I weighed each saddle bag with all contents inside and the total weight ended up being a little less than indicated here with all item weights listed individually. Total saddle bag weights for Japhy's pack are 2.33 lbs for saddle bag 1 and 2.4 lbs for saddle bag 2. With the weight of the harness added, total weight comes to 6.73 pounds (vs the 7.02 pounds listed above).

Both dogs eat Inukshuk 32/32 dry food on trail (higher fat/protein content for very active dogs).
