From January to February 2020, I went on five multi-day hikes in Tasmania:

  1. Overland Track
  2. Walls of Jerusalem
  3. Western Arthur's Traverse
  4. Frenchmans Cap
  5. South Coast Track

While I varied what I packed based on the predicted conditions, this LighterPack should include the gear I generally considered for hiking in Tasmania.

Trip Conditions

☁️ The weather, while not easily forecast over a long period, is not too erratic unless you go to higher elevations. Up in the mountains, the winds can be very strong; fog and precipitation in the alpine is much more likely. I did experience very unusually stable and consistent sunny weather without any clouds for my four days on the South Coast Track.
