My first hike of this year (ultralight backpacking, 22-liter pack, base weight 4.5 kg, 2 days 1 night), clear weather when climbing up, rainy/muddy when descending off. It's an organized open trip but I brought my own full gear & full logistics.

Post hiking notes:

  1. Hotel sandals too fragile for rainy season, would prefer rubber flipflops next time
  2. Bandages runs out (helping friends on an accident), I need to carry more
  3. Sleeping bag & layering system are still comfort at 10º (camping at 3rd Post)
  4. Really need a low cut trekking shoe, to replace my temporary running shoe
  5. Trekking pole is broken (joint paracord snapped) due trapped to heavy mud
  6. Need tripod/canister holder for cooking on sloping ground
  7. Personal hydration: Started with 2x 600ml bottles, with multiple refills at 3rd post's clean water source, and refills/bought 2x 500ml bottles on summit (Mbok Iyem's stall)

DISCLAIMER! The ultralight packing configuration above suits me personally and depending on field conditions it may be different for others. Please be wise and keep/prioritize safety above all!
