Hello, we are a small couple with less than 10 nights of experience, doing only day-hiking, camping near the car. We want to start doing more and more backpacking.

This is our to buy list. We welcome all advice and suggestions. We are clearly going for an ultra-budget, very light, weekend outings.

Gear quality is not the biggest issue, since we don't do thru-hiking and won't use the gear for miles and miles.
