Gear list for my 2027 Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike. A lightweight-to-ultralight 3-season setup with a baseweight of around 10lbs/4,5kg (without food & water). Includes additional Sierra gear (bear canister, microspikes, ice axe) for June/July. Focused on keeping the pack light while maintaining comfort and safety over the long miles.

Below, I've added estimated total pack weights for each major trail section (SoCal, Sierra, NorCal, Oregon, Washington). These include average carried water, food after resupply. The goal is to show the approximate maximum pack weight I'll be carrying in each section right after leaving town.

Yellow star = home-weighed by me; weights may vary from manufacturer specs. Red star = to be re-evaluated for a lighter setup by mid/late of 2026
