This will be my first time attempting a Super Ultralight (SUL) trip — i.e., a base weight less than 5 lbs — though I was able to trim another pound from that. With this kit, I can sleep comfortably down to about 45F, stay dry, and enjoy a warm meal.
This will be a 3-day, 2-night, 37-mile backpacking trip on Cumberland Island, GA. Water sources are not potable and will likely be briny tasting. Temps expected highs high-60s and lows low-50s. 25% chance of precipitation each day. Camp is in established (but primitive) sites without water, but should be sheltered from the ocean breezes. Not expecting it to be buggy at all this time of the year.
Staying at Hickory Hill Camp on night one and Yankee Paradise Camp on night two.

Stake kit
Teragon Pioneer 6” stakes (4) with elastic band to hold them together. 3-D printed titanium with the same profile as a mini-groundhog, only much sturdier and much, much lighter. There is a secondary pullout in the middle rear but I’ll use natural anchors for that.

Guyline
14’ of 1.5mm Kelty Triptease. I removed the line locks and guyline that came with the shelter because I prefer the versatility of knots. Minimal weight savings.
