This kit is intended for use where the low temperature is consistently warmer than ~32 degrees Fahrenheit / ~0 degrees Celcius on a long thruhike in alpine conditons where you don't spend much time statically but mainly in motion and the sleeping bag is the main source of insulation during rest. If you are thinking about spending more time with friends in the mornings or evenings and tend to freeze more quickly, you should consider packing a puffy jacket. Note that depending on the weather or tour I would pack more items for safety and comfort such as a puffy jacket, an umbrella, thicker sleeping mat or micro spikes may be added in colder conditions where appropriate (see attached alternation items).
