4-night solo backcountry camping trip in RMNP 08/28/23 - 09/01/23 Notes: firebiner was most reliable ignition source, MSR piezo did not work when wet. Did not need to use BIC lighter. Stayed warm each night in the Corus quilt and tent, even down to 37 degrees inside tent. ThermoDrop did not seem accurate on temp readings, would replace with another Govee. Batteries barely lasted the 5 days, would bring another battery back next time if longer trip. Would leave apple watch at home, was not useful on trail. Platy water bag was hard to fill, would replace with a CNOC vecta for the wide mouth and side seal for filling. considering 3 L or 4 L dirty water bag to have more water available at camp. Sawyer squeeze worked great. Gaia GPS app is must have for future trips, did not really use paper map.
